The Salesforce.com API allows developers to create Apps that support 2-way integration between Salesforce.com and Microsoft Outlook. Apps leveraging this new API on the RedCritter platform run directly inside Outlook and can respond contextually based on the user’s actions as they work.

It supports querying, inserting, updating and deleting over one hundred types of Salesforce.com objects using SOQL (Salesforce.com Object Query Language) syntax. With this new toolkit, developers can create and distribute powerful new Salesforce.com Apps to Outlook users within their company and world-wide.
